"Carol of the Lights" - an original carol by Emmy-award-winning and Grammy-nominated composer/performer Kurt Bestor - this song uses the metaphor of lights to highlight a city bedecked in holiday lights and the lights illuminating the Christmas Tree, to the original star light shining upon the Newborn King.

Each year, Kurt composes an original carol which he gives to the audience attending his popular "A Kurt Bestor Christmas" (2015 marks the 28th year!). "Carol of the Lights" is 2015's Christmas offering. Written in the aftermath of the November 2015 Paris terrorist shootings, Kurt explains that, "while visiting Paris in August 2015, I was reminded how beautiful the "City of Lights." So when musing about the tragedy and thinking of composing a new carol, Kurt decided to use the metaphor of "Lights" as it applies to Christmas. From the lights the twinkle throughout the city to the lights on the Christmas tree, all hearken back to the original light emanating from the Christmas star that shone over the manager.
